About the Creator

Hi! I'm Magda Rusin — the creator of Malowane Deski (Painted Boards).

It all started with a piece of wood found on the beach. I saw more than just a board — I saw a story waiting to be told. Since then, I've been creating handmade painted wooden decorations, each one a unique piece of art.

Materials

I work primarily with reclaimed wood — boards that once served other purposes and now gain new life. I use acrylic paints and protective varnish, making my works durable and resistant to damage.

Creative Process

Each piece begins with finding the right materials — wood that already has its own shape and soul. I clean, transform and compose them with other elements into a one-of-a-kind whole. I don't use templates — every piece is original.

Philosophy

"Malowane Deski" literally means "Painted Boards" in Polish. I believe that beauty lies in simplicity and in objects that carry their own history. Each of my works is not just a decoration — it's a piece of a maritime story.
